WARWICK, Rhode Island (June 1, 2011) SchoolSpan's annual Web MakeOver Grant will provide districts the
opportunity to turn their site from outdated to state-of-the-art. The
Grant has been a success with the awarding of five school districts in 2011..
Starting June 13, 2011, we will accept applications to award 1 (one) district per month the new Try
Us You will like US Grant.

completing an online application, district personnel can attend a 30-minute
webinar to learn more about the SchoolSpan solution. Applications are due by
the last Monday of each qualifying month.

SchoolSpan for their web solutions including districts of 150 to 50,000

Schools awarded the grant will receive a complete web site
makeover, including selections from existing banner and mural designs and porting over of
enough content from their existing web sites to aid during the included train the trainer training session(s). Schoolspan
solutions aid in content creation and editing, designing web pages, and controlling placement and utilizing publishing authorities
for an entire page or merely one singular entry. Setup fees and hosting fees will be subsidized
through the grant, valued according to the size of the district. School,
department and classroom site creation tools are included within the solution
base for the district to utilize.
After consultation, prior to
SchoolSpan building the site, SchoolSpan will provide an agreement for
clarification of the important details for our mutual approval. While there may be some changes to meet your
needs, the agreement will outline a basic understanding of both parties
commitment.
The grant will consist of this offer
extending for a period of 6 months from date of build creation or a
2011-12 eRate funding release whichever occurs first.. After the grant period,
districts are expected to retain the SchoolSpan web site service for a period
of two additional years.
Unusually high storage requirements, unusally high number of departmental web
sites may require an additional but reasonable charge, custom high quality
graphic work that can include flash generated images on your district or any other web site
is often provided but at an additional reasonable
charge. Generally, districts turn on their new site within 6 weeks of the
new site's build.
