for students, faculty and staff.
SchoolSpan's new Email on Demand provides standard email and Microsoft Exchange hosting for school personnel,
as well as built-in email archiving using the Symantec Enterprise Vault solution, helping schools comply with new Federal guidelines,
as well as their local state's records and retention laws.
An email archive vault is the most secure way to accurately and securely capture and store copies of every email sent
and received by school employees. SchoolSpan has bundled both its standard email and Microsoft Exchange hosting accounts
with an optional email archive vault for full compliance.
As an email service, SchoolSpan's Email on Demand service qualifies for E-Rate Priority 1 Funding, making this service more
cost-effective than locally hosted options.
SchoolSpan's Email on Demand is entirely remotely hosted - no equipment or software is required to be installed on the
school or district system. Email accounts are managed, archived and stored daily at a World Class Data Center , staffed by certified
Microsoft engineers. SchoolSpan provides standard web/POP email for students, as well as more dedicated IMAP and Microsoft
Exchange accounts for faculty and staff.
SchoolSpan offers three different solutions to suit your needs:
- Microsoft Exchange Hosting with Archive
- SchoolSpan delivers the seamless communication and collaboration benefits
of Microsoft Exchange using a school's own domain, without the expense and hassle of maintaining an Exchange server .
This Includes 1 GB of storage per user, plus access to group functionality tools (shared secured folders, group calendars,
shared contacts). Accounts may be accessed from Outlook Web Access or Microsoft Outlook . Faculty/staff email accounts are
also backed by Symantec's Enterprise Vault for archival and compliance purposes.
- Standard Faculty/Staff Email with Archive
- SchoolSpan's standard email solution provides 1GB accounts capable of handling large files using the school's own
email domain names. Users can send and receive e-mail from any Internet-connected computer with either SchoolSpan's
web mail access or via Microsoft Outlook/Outlook Express. Faculty/staff accounts are also backed by Symantec's Enterprise
Vault for archival and compliance purposes.
- Student Email -
SchoolSpan's Student Email solution provides 100MB accounts using the school's own email domain. Students can send
and receive e-mail from any Internet-connected computer with either SchoolSpan's web mail access or via Microsoft Outlook/Outlook Express.
